Removing Sav 10 without the password.

I kinda liked this software, bulky yet light, ugly yet lovely. Either way, the powers that be (ugghhh) have instructed me to remove sav, and install Etrust. T

here was a password on sav and not everybody knows it. So i decided to script up a quick tool to remove SAV without actually having to enter the password, or, well, do anything!

reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ | find “{5A633ED0-E5D7-4D65-AB8D-53ED43510284}”
Echo %errorlevel%
goto answer%errorlevel%

:answer0
echo program had code 0
reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\AdministratorOnly\Security /v LockUnloadServices /t REG_DWORD /D 0 /F
reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\AdministratorOnly\Security /v UseVPUninstallPassword /t REG_DWORD /D 0 /F
MsiExec.exe /norestart /qn /x{5A633ED0-E5D7-4D65-AB8D-53ED43510284} REMOVE=ALL
exit

:answer1
echo program not installed
exit

The bold text above is the registry key that controls whether or not to use the password, nice security there symantec. 😛
