Configuring ThinKiosk via Group Policy

Thinkiosk has a number of configuration options to help deploy and configure the application. Below you will find a guide on how to import the group policy file (available in downloads) and configure your thinkiosk deployment. The below guide is based on computer based policies but you can also use user based policies if you wish.

To start with, open the Group Policy Management console, and edit the policy you wish to use.

Browse to Policies > Administrative templates

Right click Administrative Templates and choose Add/Remove Templates…

When the Add/Remove Templates Dialog appears, choose Add

Browse to your downloaded copy of ThinKiosk.adm Select it, and choose Open:

The ThinKiosk policies will now appear as below in Computer and User configuration:
